When you least expect it, opportunities to make a difference//change the world present themselves. I was asked by one of the most inspiring and admirable ladies, that I have come across in a long time, to be an ambassador for #wellspringofhope. When Katie (@KatieMarshallFit) sent me a message stating we share the same vision of bringing hope and help to the weak in the world, I was flattered. Rendered speechless. The mere idea that she considered me to be a positive influence was humbling, to say the least. I was moved; brought to tears.
Katie is an incredible soul. She works so hard to care for the needs of others, all while caring for herself and her own family. Her drive to change the world is infectious. Katie is passionate about bringing clean water to a village in Guatemala. She has visited this village, and has witnessed the effects that dirty water is playing on the lives of the families, and the community as a whole. She has held sick infants, and hugged helpless parents. She has worked side by side with doctors, who work tirelessly to provide temporary support//relief to these sick individuals. The source of these people’s pain is dirty water.
In the past year, my development has lost water twice, for 2-3 days each time. You don’t realize how much you rely on water, until you do not have it. And even then, it does not compare to what people are facing across the nation. We still had access to fresh//clean water. It is all around us, in the stores, at a neighbors, at the local fire co. No matter the small struggles we face with water, it will never compare to the dirty, diseased ridden waters that many are forced to drink, because of the lack of fresh water wells in the community.
We can change that. The team is joining up with an organization called Cause Life, who supplies people, even in the most remote areas of the world, with fresh water.
They//we are raising funds to supply a community with a fresh water well. One of the ways they are spreading the word, and raising money towards their goal is through t-shirts. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the well.
The link for the tshirts is here: It is Well
If you do not want a tshirt, but want to donate to the cause, and make a difference, please visit the fundraising page.
I cannot wait for my shirt to come, and am so blessed to be a part of such an amazing cause. My heart goes out to these communities. It may not be much, but I am playing a small part in changing the world. You can too! Thank you Katie. Thank you CauseLife. And thank you to those who choose to support!
